I wanna know what people assume about me because of my tumblr.

Put an assumption in my ask
. I’ll confirm or dispute it. I’m not gonna be mean or anything, I’m just very interested.

Frustrations re: Ladlad

mikkieugenio:

I actually feel frustrated about this year’s election, knowing it’s my first time to be a registered voter. Not really about Nancy, but about Ladlad.

I’ve never been so passionate about an election, especially about the party’s chances of winning. They’re the only LGBT party running, but it seems that the federations never cared to come out of their closets and vote. Where are they when you needed them the most?

What’s more irritating is how some of the potential voters voted for other random parties just because “they couldn’t find” Ladlad in the ballot. I seriously want to stab them if only it was legal. 90 days of campaigning and we already told you about this: 28. Twenty-eight.

More I wonder, is there such thing as an LGBT vote? Of all the campaigns I witnessed (and joined), only the transgenders and effeminate gays cared enough for the party. The lesbians are nowhere to be found, probably supporting Gabriela; the bisexuals and the discreet gays, maybe voted for Ang Nars, Kabataan, etc.

The majority, whom might not have voted, were maybe busy with trivial things, or were simply clueless.

I don’t really get why they wouldn’t vote for Ladlad: are they afraid being judged voting for the party? Was the platform not enough? Are they not accepting of the possibility of a transgender leading the community in Congress? What went wrong?

With the election results coming, Ladlad might need a miracle for them to join the winning circle. I really want to cry - it’s like my own efforts were wasted, as those few who dedicated their time and resources to campaign.

What will be the future of the community, then? Will there be a time when LGBT people will stand up and make its presence felt in the political arena?

The Invisible Observer: Vote ○ 28 Ladlad -

I’m part of the LGBT. There, I said it formally for you to know.

But that is not the major reason why I’m campaigning for Ladlad. I have a lot of LGBT friends, and I’m sure you have one too. Even those living in the mountains are sure to have met an LGBT - you see them in parlors, offices,…

It’s high time we get represented. Because closeted politicians don’t count as they have done nothing for the betterment of the LGBT.

Senate candidates that I’ll actually vote for: (8/12; revised and final)
#2 Sonny Angara
#3 Bam Aquino
#16 Ed Hagedorn
#18 Risa Hontiveros
#24 Jun Magsaysay
#26 Ricardo Penson
#28 Grace Poe
#31 Bro. Eddie Villanueva
You should have done your research already and had your own list of senatoriables to vote. Let this country’s fate be in your hands, not in those who attempt to cheat or smear the elections and not in those who think that this election season is nothing but a joke.
Because the maximum period for an OJT is one year, not 20, neither infinite.

The partylist that I’ll vote, the one that represents PLU (people like us) and needs to be represented in the Lower House.

My vote is based on their principles, their track  record, and their performance on various debates. Because I won’t vote for inconsistent congressmen, relative-reliant people who have done nothing to contribute to the society, cold blooded murderers, Catholics who are hypocrites, college graduates who have no knowledge in Biology and Economics, illogical creatures, and those who don’t do their research especially about professions.
